Pad Printing

Thunder Mug Inc. employs the largest, most versatile pad printing equipment in North America. We can print any image, regardless of complexity, in up to six colors with perfect registration each time. Our printing radius (the circle within which the image must reside), can be as large as four and a half inches (4.5" maximum diameter) or as small as you would like.

There are no restrictions on where the logos or corporate images can be placed on the Thunder Mug. Typically, Thunder Mugs are printed with duplicate artwork on either side of the mug but this is done solely to keep costs in line. It is very possible to have two different images on either side of the mug, which allows us to print items as complex as game schedules on one side and a team’s logo on the other.

Unlike other pad printing equipment, we can also do a third image, which is placed in the front of the Thunder Mug (opposite the handle). This means that for occasions like league playoffs, we can print the team logos of the opposing teams on either side of the mug and the date and name of the event (such as the Super Bowl or the Rose Bowl) on the front of the mug, which makes for the perfect souvenir for important games.

The costing for pad printing is very simple to work out. The set up cost per color is $50.00. Then the print costs are based on the number of mugs printed. There are price breaks as the quantities increase. Most teams have only two or three colors in their logos so the cost of printing is usually about $150.00. The set up cost always stays the same if you want one mug decorated or one hundred thousand.
