Trevose, PA, March 20/07:
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, announced the winners of the 2007 Spirit Awards.
The Spirit Awards, a part of the ASI Show in Las Vegas, celebrate innovative advertising and outstanding customer service, honor the fastest growing suppliers and distributors, and acknowledge three family businesses that represent the bedrock of much of the advertising specialty industry.
"Congratulations to this year's shining stars," said Timothy Andrews, President of the ASI. "Companies honored at the ASI Spirit Awards reflect the entrepreneurial nature, nimble thinking and thoughtful growth strategies that comprise the fabric of our industry and move it forward."
This year, 87 finalists and the 36 winners were recognized at the ceremony at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Thunder Mug Inc won the award for the Best Email Advertising for 2006, a category which contained over 3,000 competing companies.
When asked for his reaction, Doug Swallow, President of Thunder Mug Inc. said, "This has certainly come as a very pleasant surprise. We have only been part of the ASI for a year and such recognition is a real compliment to all the members of the Thunder Mug team who have worked so hard and traveled so far in such a short time."

Thunder Mug Wins Prestigious Marketing Award
Philadelphia, PA, Nov 16/06:
Promotional Marketing Magazine, the oldest and largest consumer marketing magazine in America, has declared Thunder Mug Inc. as the 2006 winner of the Best Promoted New Product Award.
Despite a bumper crop of new products coming to market this year in the promotional marketing category, the efforts by the Thunder Mug team have paid off handsomely. Promotional Marketing Magazine specifically cited the new company's use of innovative technology and target market impact in making its decision about this year's winner.
"You could have knocked me over with a feather." said Doug Swallow, President of Thunder Mug Inc. "I have been a reader of PMM for almost thirty years and it never occurred to me that a small company likes ours would ever attract the attention of such a large and well known publication. It does prove that hard work will pay off in ways you never expect."
Thunder Mug Inc is the exclusive manufacturer of the Thunder Mug, a patented product which is a novel combination of both a mug and a megaphone. This fan-interactive drinking vessel has received widespread and enthusiastic acceptance among sports fans in a broad range of sports from hockey and football to soccer and NASCAR.
"We are now starting to get requests for samples from outside of North America," said the company's President. "I don't know how many languages we'll have to master to take on the international market but whatever it takes, we'll do it."

Chicago, July 12/06:
During the 2006 Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) Trade Show at McCormick Place in Chicago this July, the Thunder Mug was the best received new product with the massive crowds that turned up for the event.
"If we had had 2,000 samples they would have all been eagerly gobbled up," said Cam Bailey, the Thunder Mug Inc representative at the Trade Show. " Chicago was exactly where we needed to be and the only way I can describe Thunder Mug's reception is awesome."
The Thunder Mug is a unique, patented mug that can hold up to 15.4 ounces of sport fans favorite drinks and can also be used as a megaphone to cheer on their teams.
"This ASI show has shown us once again that when you come to market with the right product at the right time, the promotion work is significantly reduced," said Douglas Swallow, President of Thunder Mug Inc. "We are obviously happy that so many sports fans are now looking for Thunder Mugs with their favorite teams logos emblazoned on the sides."
The Thunder Mug is a 7" high mug with inner baffles that allow the mug to act as a megaphone increasing voice volubility by a factor of five. Its polypropylene structure makes the mug extremely durable and an excellent product for game and series' souvenirs. The matted finish on the outside of the mug provides a robust base for the printing of corporate and team logos. These logos are dishwasher safe.
